I've never had a problem doing this - not sure why others have had a hard time. What a pain for you all!

I always put through all my items first, then hand over my ac card, and then say - 'may I pay with points'?.

The till then converts to points at the end - no beeping!

This week I got the Rimmel GWP, 17 GWP, Max Factor GWP and Maybelline GWP all on points doing it like this (and all in one transaction!)

Thats what i do too, but then when the SA converts to reedem the till beeps and no GWP for me because it says the threshold then hasnt been met . Typical boots, working at some but not others!

I bought 3 Protect and Perfect gift sets on 342 last week and got a GWP no problem,only problem was I wasn't brave enough to try for 3:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:


I have also bought No7 using points and got a GWP then too:j

It's never been officially advertised that you get more than one No 7 GWP with No 7 purchases over thresholds of £36 One store might have advertised it "unofficially" to boost sales but for the vast majority of us it has been one gift with purchase......I have bought a few P and P at £49.50 and only ever got one (only ever tried one to be honest!).

The website DOES give the gift (1 only) with 3 for 2 on No 7 gift sets though. However when I tried the SAME transaction in store I got a beep !!!

Just a quickie about the Model Me freebie and 3 for 2 offer/glitch!
I tried it in Blackpool today and caused a queue!
Got 2x shampoo @ £5.99, and a Styling Glue (also £5.99 I think?) and the till Bleeped and bleeped and a blummin' bleeped. The girl said I'll overide it, and put the Styling product through free, which leaves you 2 to pay for £11.98.
NNNOOOOOO! Then she said, on your way out pick up another shampoo, I'll write on your recpt. and I'll scan it thru' 3 times, cos they are on 3 for 2.
(which was decent of her, but not what I'd hoped for!)
I think this might only work, if the styling product isn't the least expensive item, as the till then removes this for the 3rd item (cheapest) free!

AND...I bought 2 items of Baby Clothing totalling £20, but they were on buy 1, get second half price, making it £15.50. Thought the 500 points parenting club voucher (when you spend £20 in baby shop) might go through like once before, but NO! Again, defeated. Girl said it was cos clothes weren't included, but think its 'not to be used in conjunction with another offer'!

I did get my free bottle of diet coke, which I needed after getting into a lather with my failures, and growing, tutting, deep sighing queue behind me.

OMG so many questions!

GWPs do not work on reduced items unless you spend the full £18.

The only brand that had a problem getting the GWP and paying with points was Rimmel and we all reported that so it has now been fixed on the system.

No7 GWPs do go through on the No7 3for2 gift sets as I've personally went to the No7 counter to get them for customers who didn't know about the offer.

Sorry, I thought that all stores were giving 2 GWPs with the 200ml P&P, I know the Belfast store is! lol.

Last time I got parenting mailing it was 500points when you send £10 or more on baby. Did they change this offer as well?

At one time you could get the GWP with any N7 reduced or bogof items (till thought you had spent the full amount:D ) I had quite a few of the N7 wraps (gwp) with the bogof facial suncream sometime ago...and used 5.00 N7 vouchers each time:D I'm assuming boots have set their tills so this no longer happens?
