Thelondonpaper, its got "One of many 3 for 2 items avaliable in store", but it insinuates its in the 3 for 2, thats the only reason I kept the paper, because I was thinking of getting a couple of them, and know what Boots can be like.

Just had a great shop online.

    Bought 3 x £20 on 342 = £40

Then needed to spend another £10...so decided to take advantage of the "spend £10 get 200 points on selected items"....so had a look at all the essentials they were offering. Had £3.49 in my basket and then 2 lots of "buy 2 cotton wool for £2" ....and the 200 points had kicked in (but I had only spend ££4+£3.49 =£7.49 and the offer is to spend over £10)...so a good while later after trying lots of things I realised that the "till" sees the value of the goods before the offer.
Ie. 2 cotton wool face pads @ £1.69 each = £3.38 (only charges £2) but reads on the till at full value... so if you get 6 cotton wool face pads @ £2 each = TOTAL £6 you get the 200 points because the till sees it as over £10.

(i mean till as in online till not sure about instore!)

So total basket ended up being:

    3 x £20 on 342 = £40
    14 x cotton wool pads = £14
    triple points
    £10 off 50 spend code

= £43 spend and £10.33 back in points!!

    very happy! :T

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

off topic but they used to have their christmas parties in the staff room while the store was open, theyd do it in shifts, and get totally drunk and then go back onto the shop floor to finish their shifts. her last christmas their her manager dressed up in drag and got drunk then started serving customers.[/quote]
    Crikey what store is this?
Could do with handing them a load of coupons when they are half cut.
Can you imagine? Free coke, loads of minis with £2 off coz they're too wrecked to care!
Hope they bring this in at all stores in time for the sale!

used 2 free mini tony&guy vouchers today from sisters card to get a mini leave in conditioner and a curly hair conditioner-had to sacrifice 12 points aswell because actually went in to get some corsodyl mouthwash and the sa said she had to have the ac card and wouldn't accept the vouchers without it-The vouchers have names on them now so had to hand over sisters card.

its 12 months. you might have got away with your ac as they dont always check the names. at least it was only 12 points though.

its the sunderland store. most of the staff have worked their for centuries and if a voucher wont go through they seem to think the till is robbing you and put anything in manually. its a great store for getting reduced things too.

any one in the northeast post here?
what has happened to the mero centre stores reduced corner. i got a lipstick for 20p a few weeks ago but the section with reduced things has disappeared.
