Letter before claim - myparkingcharge.co.uk

Hi guys,
I've read the newbies thread about parking charges and have followed instructions regards the appeals. Unfortunately they have failed and I am now at the stage of letter before claim.
First question, is it worth filling in their form or is a letter better?
And if letter does anyone have a template?
I am happy with court, as I go regularly as part of my job and I am not paying this fine.
I won't bore you with the whole story but basically my grandmother lives in a block where the parking is managed by the cowboys. She was very ill and has dementia, I was never aware that the permit colour changed every year as my nan never told me and didn't know herself. I was visiting my nan as she was very ill and on this particular day I had to call an ambulance. I went back to my car and I had a ticket. I was displaying the incorrect colour permit!!! I visit my nan every week 2/3 times a week and was never aware of this...
The building manager has emailed to support my appeals and still they wont drop it. I know I had the wrong permit but surely this constitutes extenuating circumstances.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Never complete their forms!
#2 in the FAQ advises on court claims from receipt of the LBCCA right through to the hearing

No, please don't. Just read lots of other LBC threads, please...no template - nonono! And if letter does anyone have a template?
I've typed the same answer so many times about replying to an LBC/doing a SAR to the parking firm, I can no longer keep up right now and need some sleep!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
