I am owed £22,000 I won the CCJ but no payment

I have successful sued my ex Partner for money I loaned him when we were in a relationship and was awarded a CCJ, I then applied for a charge on his house to secure and protect the debt, which I also won.. The debt now stands at just over £22,000. However he still has not paid anything towards his debt.
I am torn now as to whether to go to High court or sell the debt onto a debt purchaser and would appreciate any advice.

The CCJ would have been awarded by the courts.
What have they said on the matter?0 -
if you have a charge on his house then he can't sell it unless you get paid and if he dies you will be paid out of the estate.0

Charging order could well be in place until he sells...when we had our charging order i made it very clear until my kids hit 18yrs old we had no intention of selling.
So what would the £££ be worth in 18 yrs time...damn site less than it was back then.
Id be patient as you could well be in for quite some wait.0 -
So he could literally live in the house until the end of his life and she wouldn't get any of the money until then? that hardly sounds reasonable. as someone else has said, does the amount not increase with interest every year she doesn't get paid?0

Courts have done nothing0

You have to request enforcement. It's not automatic.0 -

Not unless the agreement had a percentage included as you would expect from a bank ect..and then it only increases until the loan would have reached its natural end.
But yes realistically if he has children no court is going to force him to sell to pay a loan...obviously can only speak from experience.0 -
You add interest until it's paid so 22k now could be 42k when he sells.
This is normal practice and expected.0 -
I a man seriously thinking of taking to high court as they have better enforcement0

He lives alone, unfortunately when I did the land registry search on his house for the charging order I found he had 2 other charges on his house.... so with his mortgage that makes me 4th in line if he sells.0
