Instead of thinking you need an appliance for every meal, toasted sandwich maker for toasted sandwiches, omelette maker for omelettes, pie maker for pies etc. Think about using a pan,
You can make great toasted sandwiches and even Pannini with a frying pan. Heavy base ribbed frying pans work better. Add a tiny bit of oil or butter, or a spray of fry-lite. Heat over a medium heat, press your sandwich down with a spatula, turn it over after a few minutes.
A pan won't take up loads of space, is easy to clean and has multiple uses.
Instead of thinking it's OK to preach to others or offer cooking lessions you could take some time to reflect on the question asked.0 -
I really wanted one but had a nightmare with Lakeland's customer service. They send a voucher, accept the order online using the voucher, then email to say "you cannot use the voucher so send us more money." The product looks interesting, lots of different foods to use in it. My mum's carers are only allowed to use the microwave and she is fed up with the same foods being reheated, but we didn't get past the customer service blockage. Endless emails back and forward to Lakeland. The microwave grill looks good, the company selling the grill is best avoided as their vouchers and guarantees are worthless.0

HOW is that going to make roasted cheese? I can make toast in the toaster or (as you suggest) in a frying pan, however roasted cheese needs overhead heat from a grill.
Actually the device turned out really well, faffy and fiddly but useful for the extra special treat of bubbling blistering red Leicester sprinkled with black pepper and / or tomato ketchup!0
