Dwp compliance interview

Can anyone help?

My husband got a letter saying someone will be calling for a DWP housing benefit compliance telephone interview

Has anyone had a telephone interview? What did they ask? What info do we need to have at hand?

Absolutely nothing has changed but when my husband called to change telephone number the guy said it certainly wasn't a random routine call , they had something to discuss

2 weeks is a long time to stress

Many thanks

Household income (if any) how many people live in the house and they could possibly ask for bank statements as proof of household income.

I usually say if you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about but not worrying is easier said than done.
  • We done our annual review just a few months ago so bit freaked out they are calling

It's a telephone interview so will he just have to read out bank statements?

Definitely. I've seen a number of people in this situation over the years and tend to say something like "try not to worry too much" but I know how I'd feel in that situation. Most people need definite and I am a stresser as well!

One thing I would say is that people try to guess what it's about and that can be counter productive as, in my experience, they are often wrong. They have concentrated on that rather than getting the basic information (as poppy has outlined) together.

Be honest. Take your time responding and if you don't know the answer say so

I hope it works out for you.

Completely agree with everything you've said here! It's impossible to answer questions from anyone when people ask about these IUC's because what ever advice we give we can only guess.
