I just wondered how soon tariff changes might be noticed in Cheap Energy Club as this is the first variable tariff I've been on and the prices increased on the 1st November but my costs are the same in CEC. It's with Outfox the Market by the way on the Zapp July tariff.

Are they required to notify them? I'm not sure how MSE would normally be imlnformed of price changes or any other comparison site.

CEC just takes it's energy data fed from the MSM site, so any changes have to be made by them.

Energy suppliers are not required to notify comparsion sites of a change of cost/tariff, but the comparison sites tend to rely upon such notification from the supplier (hence why some suppliers/tariffs are not displayed)

As mentioned above, MSE gets it's data from the Ofgem accredited energy comparison site of MSM (the owner of MSE)
