switching suppliers for empty house
Hi
I have been lucky enough to inherit a house and am there during school holidays to clear it and do work on it. There is no central heating.
At the moment suppliers are British Gas and Npower. My usage is so low that I wondered if zero standing charge would be an option. I cannot, however, find where to compare the actual tariffs with other suppliers.
Thanks to anyone who can help

This site (there are others eg CAB) - use Martins Cheap Energy Club - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/energy/Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I have used the Energy Club calculator but some of the suppliers e.g. Ebico, cannot be monitored. I am on a very tight budget and worry about doing the wrong thing.0

monitored ??/
What do you mean by that ??
Meter readings ??
Online account .0 -
the energy club can monitor suppliers and let you know if it is better to switch, but cannot do this with some suppliers.0

What makes you think MSE cannot do this with Ebico?
Does it say so on the MSE CEC???
I've never experienced this with any supplier/tariff that is listed on the MSE CEC (although admittedly the odd tiny supplier/tariff is missing)
Anyway, the question was who you should switch to, and you asked in particular about zero standing charge tariffs.
The answer to that question is available from any energy comparison site.
You can do your own 'monitoring' ... although I see some other comparison sites now have the option of monitoring/alerts now too.0 -
