  • They may have instructed the valuation but it may not have been booked yet so no date for valuation they might not do a valuation could be drive by or desktop all depends phone nationwide see if they will speak to you if not wait on broker unfortunately
  • I spoke with the estate agents and they confirmed they have not received any request for the valuation yet. So il see if the bank responds.. if not wait for the MA I guess :(

  • Yeah the way we work is instruct the valuation we use legal and general but they may panel to other valuers depending on area etc. they attempt to do a desktop if failed either a drive by or VMP is done if it's a drive by or desktop the estate agents won't know if it's been done because they don't need access

    WE work - do you work for nationwide or a panel??

    I called the bank helpline.. I was sort of ready for a cold reply to say you have to contact the broker.. but no it was very pleasant! The lady on the phone said Application and supporting docs have been vetted and passed to the underwriters and Valuation has been requested so maybe they have a backlog and have not contacted your agents yet but they should do by end of the week or early next week..

  • Another lender but the process won't differ massively glad you got some answers from nationwide some lenders would have done what you expected all moving along nicely though make sure you get timescales because if they quote you 3days and it isn't done in that time you should request an escalation as they are outside of the timescale quoted

    Do you have access to the Nationwide online 'applications' tool? This will show you where they are in the process.

    It's under the 'my quotes and applications' section of the Nationwide site. Obviously you need an online account with them - but I *think* a mortgage application counts going by other threads on this. Did you get any login info when you first applied, or are you going through a broker?

    That aside, we had our valuation (by all accounts a 'drive-by' survey) a week after our formal application. We received the offer the day after the survey.
