Yahoo Messenger

This has been installed on my P.C, but really slowed it down.

Yahoo has been removed in add and remove programs, but Messenger keeps starting when i turn my P.C on.

How can i finally get rid of it?

Not sure on the firefox as I don't use it.

Presuming you have XP you can do the below: -

Click start - Run - type MSCONFIG - On the program that pops up click SYSTEM - Scroll down the list and remove the tick for the one that says Yahoo messenger (it may say something different but it will be obvious)

You will be asked to reboot the computer. When you reboot it will come up with a message about configuration change. Accept the changes and tell it not to bother you again.
  • Whoohoo it worked!!

    Thanks!
