Disposing of white spirit

Hi all,
Been using some white spirit for some projects but just wanted to clear up a niggling doubt I have.
I know you cannot dispose of white spirit improperly... I plan to return the unused portion to the tip at the weekend.... but what do you do with things the white spirit has come into contact with e.g. the jam jar used, the overflow tray I used to catch any spillages and the kitchen roll used to mop up any spills?
The tray I used particularly has dried completely and there is no white spirit left in it, does this mean it can be chucked/recycled as per normal or because it's come into contact with white spirit it still has to go into the special section at the tip?
Don't want to be too OTT but also don't want to dispose of things incorrectly!
Thanks

If it's just items which were in contact with it and have dried outs then I'd dispose of it in the general rubbish.
For jars where they contain a mix of white spirit and paint sludge I normally leave them somewhere outside for the white spirit to evaporate and then wrap it up and bin it. I don't think there's much else you can do.0 -
I chuck small quantities onto the garden. It breaks down quite quickly.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Why on earth would you ask this? Do you not have skirting boards \that want painting? !!!!!!0

Save it. Eventually the paint settles to the bottom and semi-solidifies and you can re-use the rest.0
