it does appear you have a penchant for a tall tale and this is a place where such misrepresentation and stretching of the truth doesn't get a particularly warm reception.

Despite providing half a dozen or so examples of accounts that do not give running balances!
Again my character is attacked and it is stated / strongly implied that I am a liar!
    Had enough!

There is no need to submit an application. If you want to leave, just log out of your account and don't use it again. But there really is no need to go. People won't hold your conduct here against you if you participate in reasonable discussion elsewhere.

TBH, I misread your post as being someone else chiming in with more examples of accounts that DO show a running balance, so apologies for missing it.

There are examples on your list that are false (all those I can check in fact). Take Tesco for example, here is a screenshot from my account in a month where there was enough activity to prove that the column on the right is a running balance:

This is the default view, with no customisation (edit: and to those who are wondering what on earth I was doing, Tesco has a minimum transfer value of £1, so I needed to transfer a pound into my savings accounts in order to transfer some pennies of interest out of them)

I don't believe anyone other than you has used the word liar in this thread, but it is a matter of verifiable fact that you've made statements that are false.

I notice that many of the replies I received have been edited to make them seem more reasonable.
That's a bit of a stretch - how can you possibly know why they've been edited (especially as it's usually within a few minutes) - I don't think I've edited any in this thread, but I often do as I spot a typo or reading it once posted see bad grammar or something doesn't make sense and needs to be worded better.

So is that why you edited three of your own posts?
I did not receive "good advice" although some posters seem to think I should be grateful for their posts.
You did actually - a lot of it. The fact that you can't take it in the spirit it was intended isn't the posters fault.
Perhaps I should have posted something like the following:

"I am a well off middle class person with too much time on my hand. I like to pedantically correct the posts of others who do not uphold my view and imply they are lying or stupid or unreasonable, while attempting to show my great knowledge and superiority by pointing out that I am a wizard at juggling my finances, know all the terms and conditions lesser mortals and of course never go overdrawn.
For what it's worth, although I doubt you're in the slightest bit interested - the reason I am good with keeping track of my money is because I don't have any and have lived for very many years in a hefty overdraft. The harder up you are, the more imperative it is to keep on top of it and consequently you develop those skills.

It has never been easier to keep on top of your finances than it is now - with access to on-line banking 24/7 and probably on a device you can keep in your pocket. When I first had a bank account you got a monthly paper statement and nothing else (and paid for your supermarket shopping with cash or a cheque), then they introduced the ability to phone in for information - big step forward. In those early days, I kept track with a pencil and exercise book - writing every transaction down and ticking it off when it appeared on the statement - and sometimes it took weeks or months for cheque recipients (i.e. when you sent one off to pay your utility bill) to pay them in and for them to clear. There weren't personal computers to help you work anything out - it needed a calculator, paper and pencil.

So you have no idea how simple it is these days to track your money - the bank are perpetually adding more tools to their interfaces and there really is no excuse for not using these wisely and taking responsibility for your own situation.

Don't be such a baby - this has been a lively discussion and there has been lots of useful information - if you don't choose to see it as that, then it really isn't anyone else's fault. All you need to do to leave is click on that little X at the top of the browser tab or window. It really is that simple, no need to submit any applications. The most effective way to flounce out of a thread is to just do so quietly, giving advance warning just makes you look silly.
Again my character is attacked and it is stated / strongly implied that I am a liar!
Nobody has attacked your character - it's a discussion - people disagreeing with you and offering alternative views are not attacks. The only person hurling insults and demeaning other posters has been you (for those just dropping into the thread, some earlier posts have been edited or removed by mods). It's perfectly possibly to disagree on points without taking offence. Give it a go, you might learn something from people more experienced than yourself - especially as some of us have learned this stuff the hard way.

Tried to insert an image of my Tesco Credit Card Account with IN and Out columns only but cannot see how to do that without first uploading the file somewhere on the web, which I don't know how to do that / do not have webspace to do that, but decided it doesn't matter.
I should not really have to post my statements to prove that I am telling the truth.

I will say thanks for the advice that I can customise my paypal account to see a running balance . total on-screen.

Regarding uploading image - think I have done it now ...
    tesco.jpg?psid=1

and no - I did not just chop off the end column - there isn't one available to me!

This section of the forum is mainly for discussion of current accounts. As shown above, Tesco current accounts do show a running balance. I'm willing to believe that Tesco credit card accounts do not without seeing proof. But when you write that "Tesco" do not show running balances in a current accounts forum then any reasonable person is going to take that to mean either all Tesco accounts, or current accounts specifically.

Your list seems to be composed entirely of credit cards, store cards and emoney services, so perhaps this thread ought to be moved to a more appropriate section?

Incidentally, on the subject of other Tesco products not showing a running balance, I noticed that my shopping receipts don't show one either. Not at Tesco, or any of the other supermarkets I shop with. Again not a problem for me, but I guess this is another example of sharp practice to increase profits mentioned in your first post?
