Credit searches to previous address

Hi,
I am looking for a bit of advice.
I have checked my credit report today after a long time and have noticed there are over 50 searches on file this year all made within days of the other to a previous address that I lived in 4 years ago. The searches are made under my name obviously but every search has a completely different date of birth to mine?

Not sure what this can be. Tried to speak with call credit who advised I need to email them regarding it yet the reply email says they will reply in 5 days.

Thanks

Nell

My money is on whoever is living in that property now trying to apply for credit in your name whilst trying to guess your date of birth. A piece of junk mail or maybe a letter from a company you don't often contact such as a pension provider will have written to your previous address so the occupant now has your name.

Whoeveritis will strike lucky at some point.

Could be worth spending a few quid on CIFAS protection in a situation like this.
