Sorry I don't agree with you regarding duplicate threads.

I for one would not have seen OP's question as I don't look at that section of the forum that OP had already posted their question,

There's no point in asking the same question in a different part of the forum when the OP is already getting help in the previous thread. Those that answer questions on the threads very often answer them over multiple parts of the forum.
