Traveling wit my Pet

I'll be traveling with my Chihuahua across the country, so I'm thinking if there is a way that she will be safer during our travel, so I'm thinking that I should get a cheaper safety tool for my pet. Any suggestions?

Dog box / bag. Cheap, can be made comfy and flat packish when not in use.
