I was into 9/12 months of my contract when i cancelled my account with BT. THERE WAS A POST ON THIS FORUM AROUND LATE AUGUEST TO Early september with a link to BT T&Cs that we could cancel early giving them one month notice and having to pay no charges if you are more than nine months into the contract.
today i received a bill from BT asking to pay some £80+. this is for line rental +bb charges for next quarter.
I understand cancelling an account prematurely i have to pay for the rest of the contract.
but in T&Cs in early sepember I am positive that I read you can cancel the account early.
does anyone remeber of this post if so can you please direct me to the link. I tried but there is no joy.
please help
thank very much

If you had service prior to 1st May 2007 the charge for ending a new line (12 month contract) within the first nine months is £18 . After that no charge should be raised for the line disconnection. But if you had a 12/18 month contract on a call package they will charge you for the remainder of that.
Broadband is a different kettle of fish. You have to pay a termination charge for ending the agreement early. The termination charge is normally equal to the total of the monthly rental fees left in the minimum period0 -
Hi Do you know where I could find the T&Cs for before may 2007 please.
