Is British Gas Still The Cheapest?

Just moved into a new house which currently has British Gas for gas/electricity and also British gas for FIT of the solar panels.
I remember seeing martin Lewis say British Gas was actually the cheapest in October on the 'HomeEnergy Plus Boiler Cover Dec 2019' tariff (Not sure of that is correct).
Wasn't sure if it's still the cheapest one and I can stay with BG but just change the tariff.
Do you get different rates at different companies for FIT on solar panels? (First time ever having them)
Thanks.

No, they all pay the same. The amount is dependent on when the system was commissioned and how much they generate.0 -

It is worth doing a full market comparison for your expected use and area to find out what is the best value. Ignore any "savings" quoted; it is the overall cost per year that matters.0 -

Thank you that is really useful to know so I may as well stick with BG.0 -
We have Boiler cover with British gas because they installed a new boiler Feb 2017.
We booked to have it serviced for 30th Jan 2018. This appointment was cancelled the day before hand. The next available appointment was for 03 Mar 2018. This was cancelled about a week beforehand and the next appointment they could offer was 9 May 2018
We got the boiler serviced but at this time the BG system will not allow me to book a service for 08 Feb 2019. Want to get it done for piece of mind so I know its done. The system states that they will contact me when I can book the service.
I will not be bothering as I have now booked a service with a local company for 08 Feb 20193.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Have you bought the property (and solar panels)? If so you'll be able to start claiming FIT payments but you'll probably be required to send proof of ownership first.0
