Sudden drop in score

Hi all
A few months back I checked my score on Experian and it came back at a healthy 996. In the intervening months I've not missed a payment nor have I applied for any new credit, but a recent check showed my score was down at 973.
I know score isn't the be all and end all but I'm wondering why this happened. Any ideas?

Don't worry. The scores are so broadly arrived at that anything can cause a dramatic change. The clocks went back last week, so I would guess that was the issue.
Changes of several hundred points overnight are known.
Just ignore it.0 -
Ignore the score, check your credit report is correct.0

Why you concerned, as long as the data is correct then its all good.0 -
Hello all - got a separate query but trying to find an active thread on MSE CC (and couldn't find a thread on this). My wife's having trouble logging into the Credit Club, due to some sort of ID validation issues. We know we've put in the correct details - we've just had children so thought maybe that was putting them off (they were expecting zero children?!). But no way we cut it, Experian / CC are not letting us log in. Is it just a matter of contacting Experian? Help greatly appreciated.0
