They say the charge still applies and I can pay a reduced charge of £20 if paid in 14 days. What should I do?
Your decision on this
You will know from reading here the time and effort you would have to devote to this if it goes all the way to Court
Only you know how much you value your time v the principle of wanting to fight this0 -
Thanks. I think I'll cut my losses and pay up the reduced fee. I will be very careful from now on when using this car park and their online payment system.0

How about pay the £20 then complain to the ICO that the parking firm has essentially charged you to rectify data which was their fault, their default page caused the issue and when you complained the firm backtracked but charged YOU £20 admin to sort out their data error.
Go in strong about the fact that the Parking firm has charge YOU to rectify THEIR wrong data. Make sure you spell that out.We have discounted the value of the Parking Charge Notice to £20.00 if paid within 14 days. This is to cover the costs incurred issuing this notice.
You need the ICO to understand that the costs of issuing the Notice are the fault of the parking firm, as their data is not TRANSPARENT.
You have nothing to lose, please report them. Pay the £20 as that concludes the issue with the 'rogue' parking firm (and Parliament WERE talking about BPA and IPC members when they used that term and all the other phrases like 'outrageous scam').PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
