Hello, this is my first thread,
I was anticipating that someone could please give me some advice, when I was very young my parents purchased a small property, that I could have when I turned 18. I am not a registered owner, but there is restriction that there is to be no disposition after my 18th birthday without me giving written concent.
One of my parents is refusing to give me the property when I turn 18, does anyone have any advice on setting this, so that by the time I turn 18 the situation shall be sorted. The other parent wants me to have it at 18.

Why will the parent not give you the property?
Is there anything in writing which says the property will be given to you when yo turn 18?If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
The bit you mentioned suggests it cannot be sold. However it doesnt say to transfer the title. What does the legal document say about transfer of ownership. Also presume you don't all live in said house as a family?0

Without having read every word of every document relating to the property, the advice given on here by anyone will be guesswork
as there has been a family falling out you are going to need to go legal anyway. Be aware that the consequences of that will be far reaching and you may end up saying goodbye to a parent - is that what you really want? When they are dead you may regret fighting over money.0 -
If there is a disagreement between parents over you having the property, is it right to assume that they are no longer together and/or divorced? (assuming they were married)
If so, was ownership of the property not dealt with as part of the financial settlement between them on divorcing/separating?

Then that's a personal decision on the part of both of your parents. Until they are in agreement nothing will happen.

i apologise it’s taken this long to get back to you all, but I have only just been able to get hold of the deed, so I can tell you what it saysOn the title good leasehold, on part B:Proprietorship Register it says
The first entry is PROPRIETOR, both parents names and addresses, the second entry is the price paid,
the third entry is RESTRICTION: No disposition by a sole proprietor of the registered estate (except a trust corporation) under which capital money is to be registered unless authorised by and order of the court.The fourth entry is another restriction: no disposition after *date (I turn 18)* of the registered estate by the proprietor of the registered estate is to be registered without written consent by *myself* of *service address*.In my parents divorce agreement it says that both parents have a *nominal* Interest in the property and which both parties are to retain their nominal interests In the property which the parties acknowledge to be the sole property of *myself*
