Jitters!!

So a house we quite like the look of has a history that concerns me ..... am I right to be concerned

Been on the Market since May 2018
They bought it in October 2017
Previous owners bought it in 2016

Would you run a mile? I feel like I should, not viewed inside, but pics look great and had a walk around the area and feels fine.

When it was bought in 2016 - why was it sold so soon after?
Why do the current vendors want to sell up?

Could be that a builder bought it in 2016, renovated it and sold it on and the people who own it now want to decided to split up and sell up?

Without knowing more, it is very difficult to say.
Are any of the other neighbours houses selling regularly?

I'v messaged the estate agent today to ask them. Prior to 2016 the previous owners spent a number of years there. There are a couple of other houses in the cul de sac up for sale.

But yes your possible reasons are quite rational - thanks!

Having cut down the huge Scots Pine on their front lawn, the owners have since discovered it had a tree preservation order, so they now plan to do a runner before the council find out. ;)

Well, I'd check them out, as they look quite substantial and I wouldn't mind betting they have a TPO.

It looks to me as if the access is a private road. There may be parking problems where people park on a narrow road and block people out of their drives.

I would pick up the phone rather than send a message. They are more likely to be open or let something slip in a face to face or call rather than giving them an opportunity to compose a reply.

And remember, they act for the vendor, not you.
