Connecting to NAS -> "uses an unsupported protocol"

Hi
Was wondering if any of you technical gunu's out there might be able to help or offer some options.
Tried to navigate to my NAS (Netgear ReadyNAS V1) to do some admin and I get the error...
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx uses an unsupported protocol.
Unsupported protocol
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite
I've tried accessing it via three different browsers (Opera, Firefox, and Edge) and all three report the same (type) of connection issue.
Having Google'd the error it appears that all (??) browsers may have implemented increased security requirements, or removed support of older SSL protocols; unsure exactly of the correct explanation.
Anyway, the issue I have is that I cannot access my NAS to do stuff. Cannot even make any setting changes or download a newer BIOS (if there is one), in the NAS which might help the situation.
Any thoughts???

Can you not get to it via its ip address (\\192.168.0.100 or whatever it is) through Windows Explorer?0

I can still navigate via Explorer to the shared drives and can do 'stuff' (copy / delete etc) that way, which mostly is what I have done as the years have gone by but, I now need to access the Admin menu.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Chrome tells me my NAS is an unsecure and untrusted connection.
I add the certificate and all is well until Chrome updates again, i gave up and just click use untrusted anyway.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
It is the one browser I don't use (albeit that Opera is basically a skinned version of Chrome; for want of a word).
None of the browsers provide the ability to add, ignore, update the white list.
Have googled how to do it in Opera but the nearest I got to was managing certificates (which it wants to import a certificate).Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
