Planning Drawings for House Holder Application

Hi there,


I am planning to get a house extension done. It involves a single storey rear extension, side double storey, part double rear and loft extension.


I have received the following quote from the architect. Can someone comment if this is a fair quote?

£2,450 for:

• Concept Design – Carry out a measured survey of the property.
• Single rear extension,
• Side extension,
• Double storey side extension & rear part double extension
• Re-design of the ground floor and first floor.
  • Prepare preliminary Concept Designs, represent and discuss with the client.
  • Preparing Planning Applications forms.
  • Submitting Council application and planning drawings to the council.
  • Discussion and Revisions with the Council for the Concept design.

£500 for:

Loft extension

• Prepare preliminary Concept Designs, represent and discuss with the client.
• Preparing Planning Applications forms.
• Submitting Council application and planning drawings to the council.
• Discussion and Revisions with the Council for the Concept deign.

£35 for: Site Plan and Block Plan in CAD Format from 3rd parties require by the
council.

how did you get on with this quote? from what i can see its quite high
