Content insurance sole/joint

Hi all,
I've searched through the site and looked at other sites. It couldn't find a definitive answer.
My Girlfriend and I are about to move into a rented flat together and I'm just wondering about the names on the content insurance policy.
Ideally I'd like to just put my name on the policy, as if I was to make a claim on the policy, it would only affect me and only I would have to declare a claim in the future. My question is can this be done and would I be able to claim for things that she's bought/jointly bought that have her name in the receipt etc?
Obviously I would choose the correct amount of coverage to account for her/ and joint items and am aware that she wouldn't be able to talk to the insurance company regarding any claim.
Any help or experience is welcome!
Thanks
