Avoid Travelelink scammers

Guys if you ever have the misfortune to need a holiday or flight avoid Travelelink (not to be confused with companies with very similar names).

Booked a flight to Asia with these people..paid a deposit via card and balance to follow before flight,all pretty standard stuff.

Yesterday i went to pay balance of the flight and was told at 11.30 am that Singapore airlines (uk) would be closing shortly so the travel agent couldn't reconfirm the booking and that id have to call back Monday...hmm thats odd ive flown with various airlines and never had that before.

After obtaining the booking reference for the flight,i call Singapore airlines and was told the booking was cancelled by travel agent the day after it was booked and no one with my surname was booked on the flight.

Called back to Travelelink and was told that Singapore airlines didn't have a clue what they were talking about..they also said that each booking is reconfirmed automatically every 24/48 hours and i should call back Monday to pay balance,however the price would likely to be higher as they cant guarantee price until full payment made,ive asked what the flaming hell the deposit was for,i was told thats just to get your seat reserved...OK im now loosing my rag at the complete nonsense im being told in pigeon English.

Had to insist on speaking to a manager and after nearly 45 mins of please wait..no i can deal with this..please phone back Monday...what is the issue...i was finally passed to the big boss Mr John,Mr John stated that the flight was normal and Singapore didn't know what they talking about...he also said he wanted to be paid cash as to many customer are con artist and do a claim back after buying ticket :eek:

So if you want a cheap flight book with them..however your ticket will be cancelled the following day after paying deposit and the balance will be bank transfer or cash as to many customer scam them when paying by credit card.:j

told them multiple times my calls are recorded...they seem oblivious as to what i was talking about as the level of English was truly atrocious,and even my wife who is Asian couldn't understand them...honestly it was like Beadles about or Fone jacker on a wind up.:(
