    “Crikey, this thread was tarted”

    Tarted? Mmm, nice.

Anyway, years later in another universe, after trudging across the tundra, mile after mile, golly, that’s rather a lot, my friend’s boat cost £4k and his one before that was a mere £600, but, er, that one sank and he had the dismal job of diving in the canal to retrieve his records and books and clothes and photos and electrical equipment and personal possessions, which, er, were not in the best condition, oh dear…But, anyway, why don’t you get something for £10k or £20k or at least within reach and affordable, what’s the need for a £40k one?

Well, there’s various ways of borrowing money, banks, credit cards, credit unions, loans from companies, loans from family and friends and acquaintances. And of course there’s working and doing business and selling stuff on ebay, amazon, loot, car boot sales, market stalls, off your own website with a free paypal shopping cart and payment services and using free hosting eg atspace.com and free domain name eg .co.nr etc. Good luck if you’re still around and still wanting to go sailing and or sinking.

    Doesn't work, I'm afraid.
