I am in a similar situation to you!
I have written to capital one who refuse to take this marker off my file, I have escalated this to CIFAS to be looked into.
6 years is a very very very long time, I am amazed that this is even legal to have such a accusation placed on people's name without a trial or anything!
A person in a office somewhere who you will never meet can carve the next 6 years of your life!0
