Is the Philips HD9621 any good? Costco have these at the moment.0

Have now bought a Philips HD9621 although not used it yet.
However, it does seem a bit small, only 0.8Kg size. It could perhaps cook chips or chicken but not both at the same time. Also doesn't have any sort of plate for cooking meat, only a basket, is that normal for all air-fryers?0 -

0.8kg is very small, I have a 1.7 kg one and its great for 2 of us because you need a lot of room around the food and it wont cook properly if crammed together.
You wouldn't want to do chicken and chips at the same time as they would take different times to cook.
Yes its normal for a basket and not a plate. I think Tefal have one that has 2 levels but the reviews are poor as different cooking times apply etcI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. The trick is not to put too many chips in at oncs.
I love mine. I can do just me a meal of sausage and fries in the fryer, fishcake and chips,
In fact anything you can put in an oven in 10 to 15 minutes.
Saves a fortune in leccy bills and just wshing up liquid and boiling water in it, quick rub around with a brush bobs your unclemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

stirring paddle is fine , never damaged anything and does great job of ensuring even cooking0 -

Well have now returned the HD9621 with the intention of getting the bigger Philips.
However some of the reviews for the bigger HD9240 do not look good: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-HD9240-90-Collection-Airfryer/product-reviews/B00BS97UUA/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&reviewerType=all_reviews&pageNumber=1#reviews-filter-bar0
