we will buy a 2-bed house and have 2 more children. put them all together in one room
hope you don't think that is "too selfish".
I need big living room and kitchen for family time. but bedrooms....I just don't get it. you only sleep there.
if I could, I would live in a tiny house with a big garden. but it is not possible in UK
Do you only sleep in a bedroom? I used to do my homework and study for exams in mine because the communal areas of the house were too noisy. I got dressed in mine and even then I used to have to get dressed whilst leaning against the door because my brother had a habit of just wandering into my room whenever he felt like it even if I'd just come out the bath. I'm surprised he has any fingers left the number of time they got slammed in the door.0 -
three kids in one small bedroom - probably in a triple bunk - as most two up two downs are small - will mean one thing - kids that leave home as soon as possible due to the lack of privacy. Those teenage years are hard and kids need space. A here foot by two foot bed space only isn't going to cut it. What if one of them has a hobby that takes up a lot of space. One of mine is majorly into art - her 'stuff', all needed, takes up masses of space. She needs space to spread out, to experiment with paints and techniques. Another is into painting warhammer miniatures - again painting space needed, display space hoped for, books for reference, he is also into computing and so need a computer of his own to code on. The third is a musician. so five different guitars, two pianos, one full size, flutes, drum machines etc. No way could they fit in one bedroom. And the living room would need to be about forty foot long and wide.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex
Wonderfully unfathomable, natural world” Tim Minchin0
