What sort of tenancy are you on?
If it's already gone periodic then the LL can already give you less notice to leave than the amount of time a repossession would take, so it really makes no difference to your position at all.0 -
let the agents deal with it, as they probably have instructions on this sort of matter. could very well be them that are not making the payments on behalf of the LL
highly unlikely repossession for maintenance for £600
the LL may own the property outright, maybe not
they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing0 -
It would appear the envelope has been opened, thats a lot of information to be able to read through through the window.
What does your tenancy agreement say? Mine was to pass mail onto the letting agent.0 -
The quality of glue on envelopes has become so terrible it's remarkable how many "just fall open"
(Hint....)0 -
I live alone, more often I open mail before looking at the front.0

I don't always read the address either I just pick up the pile of mail on the doorstep, and open it.0

I'm on a 12 months fixed term with a 6 months break clause, which I've just gone into, so I guess that's the equivalent of being periodic. I'm wanting to move out at the end of the 12 months at the latest, so hopefully I'll have moved before a repossession would happen.0 -

Didn't think to check the tenancy agreement - says to pass it onto the agent. Thanks for the advice!
The papers inside the envelope are quite a bit smaller than the envelope itself, so the content inside slide about, making it easy to read the first few lines of the letter. I might have been a bit curious as well...0
