Time to rebuild my credit score

Hi guys, I previously made a post asking about pcp, and when I could apply after paying recent debts and defaults.
So my question is, how can I rebuild my credit? I have no direct credit ties, e.g no credit card, monthly phone bill, so on so forth.. I NOTHING.
But my priority is to BUILD my credit, and I'm afraid by applying for things like the credit cards, that if I get declined its going to affect my credit in a bad way every further than what I already have.
So I'm looking for help, and possibly a few recommendations on
What I can do to improve my credit.
Any further information needed, just ask and I'll provide.
Thanks

Get a credit card - use regularly and clear in full each month. Aim sub prime.
If you get declined, leave it a couple of months. One search won't impact your credit files in any significant way.
Make sure you're on the ER, pay your bills on time and time will do the rest.0 -
Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna get accepted on a new card just yet, although paying my debts has helped.0

Are you on the electoral roll?0

Have you tried an Eligibility Checker?
Remember you're rebuilding your credit HISTORY not the made up score and rating0 -
Hi yes, I have on the ER, I've tried a few eligibility calculators and most come back as decline.
So I'm basing it all on that0
