Electric boiler OR new gas boiler
Comments
-
A hot water cylinder will have a 2.5kW or 3kW immersion heater which can be connected to a normal 13 amp plug(or hard wired)and the RCD will be a standard 20amp or 30amp.
A 12kW load is a whole new ball game, heavy duty wiring is mandatory.0 -
There is obviously a supply to the "old electric boiler". What rating is the breaker that feeds it?0

thanks the property is a 1 bedflat 1st floor flat and it has an RCD unit in place for the existing hot water cylinder system
Before committing yourself to any given solution, you need to get advice on what the 'improvement' will mean in EPC terms. You could spend a lot of money and not achieve the EPC improvement that you are looking for.
