    It is not a fine.

Please start by reading the sticky thread for NEWBIES, then send the appeal template you will find there.
Don't panic, do this properly as per the advice from the NEWBIES, and nobody will be paying anyone.

A little more informatuon would be useful though. Was this in England or Wales?
Where was it (not secifics) Hospital, retail park, residential etcetera?

When did the alleged event happen?
Was there a windscreen ticket? If so, don't send the appeal yet. The NEWBIES tells you when and why.
Has a NTK arrived, if so when?

Acronyms are explained in the NEWBIES. It is not something you can skim read. Start by making a brew.

Please complain to your/the keeper's MP about this unregulated scam.

Never reveal the driver's identity, not even on here. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.

Do not worry, and tell The Keeper not to worry; you are amongst friends who deal with this sort of thing every day.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

They are well known scammers, but do not ignore them

    Read the stickies/FAQs and this.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed in the house as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an
    M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

And if your username is your/your daughter's name, you should get that changed to something anonymous before you post-up any details that might help the scammers identify her - They do trawl these boards, looking to try and catch people out.

With all the hundreds of threads on this particular forum, don't you think that is a rather hasty and silly question?

You really won't get any help from the regulars with the most experience on here unless you can show that you have invested a little time in researching existing threads before making a sensible post.

There is a thread near the top in capitals:

NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST

Please do, the 14 day deadline is mentioned and is nothing. Please do not reply until you have read it and understood the appeal to send (no copying it here asking 'is it this appeal?' please...).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
