I am fairly sure this is as pmlindyloo said usual ESA letter writing and is to do with the Christmas bonus (£10) - although it's usually paid in the first full week in December. I assume that 27th November will be one of the pay days. Given that ESA is paid fortnightly the first payment in December (11th) will include the additional £10 and then payments will revert back to £221.50/fortnight.
OP, despite what we've said on this thread, if you have concerns the only way to confirm the situation is to ring the DWP for clarification.
What a lot of stress for £10!Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
That's not correct, sorry. They can re-assess you at anytime for ESA, in either group. Some are assessed after 3 months and others go as long as 5 years without be re-assessed. The time given when placed into either group is just a guide.tazwhoever wrote: »Normally CB SG lasts 3 years before being reassessed.0 -
Thanks! The letter does say the Christmas bonus will be paid in the first week of December, and if his payments are to continue he would be due to be paid 4th December.

Actually that makes sense - 4th is in the first full week of December so would expect the £10 included that week. The payment will be made up of £110.75 for the period 21st November to 27th November (the period you have been advised about) and £120.75 for the period 28th November to 4th December. Will then revert to £110.75.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
