Cheapest place to install parking sensors professionally?

I would like someone to be able to install parking sensors in car however I want to find the cheapest quote. Halfords have quoted £64.99 for fitting cost and EchoMaster Rear Parking Display System at £60 so in total £124.99 which is quite expensive. Anyone know of any cheaper quotes?

    Professionals don't install parking sensors.
  • Okay, anyone who knows who could do this cheaper than Halfords?

The garage on the corner. The one you drove past to get to Halfords.

This is one of the easiest DIY car jobs, I have done several for family. Cheap kit on Ebay and an hours work.

Yes, an hour. The kit comes with a drill bit, drill holes, insert sensors, route wires into the boot and connect to reversing light. Simple.

On my old Audi A4, I would say it took at most about an hour and half, that was including using a laser measuring device to ensure they were perfectly level. Hardest part was the contortionism you put your hand through.

My ratty Mazda though, it can't have took more than an hour, maybe less and that was with coffee breaks too. I used a piece of electrical tape to ensure level on that one mind :D

Used these people a couple of times for brand new cars. https://www.chameleondirect.co.uk/

They did a good job both times.

Doesnt sound like its quite expensive - I wouldnt let halfords do the work though, get your local trusted mechanic or stereo shop that does fitting.

Mine's the same. I haven't managed to pluck up the courage to drill holes in the bumper,
