Boarding loft - small or large boards?

If it is just for storage you might be able to find some second hand boarding that will do the job for a fraction of the price - we got a car full of boards from a shop that was being refitted for a tenner. Not grooved like full price loftboards but we covered quite an area big enough for suitcases, christmas decs and some other boxes of stuff.1

I prefer large boards, if there is no support under the joint, then it would need support.I used large plywood boards.0

I see my old thread has been resurrected by someone ;-)
Just as an update, I went with large boards, and some smaller boards for a strip down the side. However, we ended up having to cut down the large boards a bit, because they wouldn't fit into the attic (they would fit through the hatch, but because of the angle, we couldn't get them all the way through).(Nearly) dunroving0
