Unfortunately this guy doesn't care. Thanks for the companies house tip. Downloaded and reviewing but it doesn't mention anything about majority vote or whether we all need to agree on something. What would it fall under? Seems to be a standard form with signatories at the front end

It's an interesting thread. Many people see 'Shared Freehold' as the holy grail of flat ownership.

But sometimes you're better of with a professional, efficient, 3rd party freeholder.

A BTL landlord I know never has a problem with the 'big bad' freeholders / managing agents who are sometimes slated here.

Instead he spent all his time trying to stop one set of 'shared freeholders' from spending his money on doing lots of daft, unnecessary things...

... like when a director's friend said the building needed a new roof.

And coincidentally, the friend was a roofer, and was willing to offer a good deal.

I think a share of freehold is not worth the hassle unless you have experience or do it as a second incoming type thing....this will be the subject of another thread!

It's worked really well on the two estates I've lived on. Both bigger, though. 69 and 15.

We did struggle to find directors on the smaller block, though. After I left there was only one who could be bothered so he ran it by himself. Pretty well from what I've beentold.

Most folks don't want to get involved until something directly impacts on them!

Op you have posted another thread about premium income which tends to suggest that the 3 of you own the freehold personally and that the ltd company has been set up as a management company. Can you confirm what name(s) are on the title register for the freehold? Are you 3 personally and individually named, or is it the company?
