Contravention code 27

Hi all, I’d like a bit of advice please. Today I parked outside a disused Office/industrial unit in a cul de sac. No yellow lines or signs anywhere. There was however a droooed kerb but it was in the middle of the pavement and didn’t appear to be serving any purpose.

I’ve been served with a PCN, code 27, PARKED ADJACENT TO A DROPPED FOOTWAY. My question is, is this an offence? I feel bad if I’ve restricted someone’s use of this and will pay the PCN if it’s an offence but it didn’t look like a prom or wheelchair ramp, more like an old entrance to a non existent driveway.

Thanks

Was there another dropped kerb on the pavement opposite? It may be there to aid disabled/wheelchair access.

Anyway, get thee to Pepipoo - they major on actual Penalty charge notices (real fines). (Don't try to register using a Hotmail address). We major here on Parking charge notices (invoices).
  • I didn’t look to be honest. I took photos of my car and the offending kerb but thanks for the tip, I’ll pop on there now

Take it to pepipoo and show them both sides of the PCN, all small print:

No Hotmail emails over there. No posting without pics.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
