Diesel up, petrol down in price, why?
I have to fill up tomorrow, and popped into my local Asda this morning.
This is the cheapest place for fuel in my area, but I was staggered to see the price difference. A month ago, there was £0.02 difference per litre Today the diesel was £0.09 more expensive.
So, why has this price change happened, when the fuel duty has been frozen and the barrel price of oil has come down over the last month?

Because you need fuel, and the big supermarkets have closed down all the competition, so they can charge as much as the market will stand.
Market forces, I think they call it...I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I think ASDA have some petrol price promotion on?
Also it apparently takes time for price fluctuations to filter through.0 -
Happens every winter.
There's only so much diesel that can be manufactured.
Lots of oil fired heating systems are now coming into use. More demand for a finite product, prices rises.0 -
Just do a shop in Tesco - I got a 10p off a litre last weekend.0
