Hello folks

Extraction of existing utility room.
Take down and creating of waste to take new facilities
(fixing into existing soil pipe on outer building)
Repositioning of existing partition to make utility bigger in
readiness for the construction of bathroom.

unit,toilet)
Fitting of wet wall and trims( colour to clients choice )
Replacement of both doors in proposed area.(Outer door
to be in two half barn style)
Gyproc taping to make good any areas affected by works .
Tidy of job and dispose of all waste.
Labour and materials - £7480 +VAT
Price includes for Plumbing works, Joinery works, Electrical works,

The description seems like standard procedure but a bathroom remodel can cost from £3000 to £10000 depends on what you put in, how big your bathroom is, how complex is your pipe & electricity work and how much is your bathroom suites.0

Thanks, it's a very small room 5 X 8 approximately.
Drain is directly outside and loads of pre-existing electrics so no need for new supply etc.
Was hoping more 3-5k than 7-10k x0 -
I don't think £3-5 is particularly realistic for a good job. Not only are you refitting, but you are building as well.
That brief isn't entirely clear enough to understand what you're getting for their quote.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I run a company specialising in kitchen and bathroom fit outs.
TBH your quote, for the work specified is very good value. Its not just a new bathroom, but conversion of an existing space.
Sorry to say that there isn't a cat in hells chance that you would get what you want for £3-£5kEat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
I did similar - turning a large utility room into a downstairs shower room and redid the utility with an ikea kitchen (sink, wall cabs etc).
It cost around £8k all in (no VAT) and was money well spent. I think your budget is incredibly ambitious / very unrealistic.Thinking critically since 1996....0
