Electoral roll letter arrived but not my name

I’ve lived at my address for 13 years and today a letter arrived from the electoral roll , for a random mans name suggesting he lives here
What’s the best way to deal with this letter? Husband suggests it might affect our credit if we don’t sort it, is that true?

The only way it could effect your credit is if they where you or trying to pretend to be you.

Seeing as its a random mans name and not one of the householders names then it cannot effect your credit.

Anything that comes to my house that isnt to one of the people that live there gets put back in the post box with note saying 'NOT AT THIS ADDRESS'. Ive never had one back.
