Thermal Imaging to locate heat loss?
Hello everyone, first time posting here, as I'm looking to try and reduce my carbon footprint as much as possible, whilst saving as much as possible.
I've recently had a loft conversion, so I took the liberty to upgrade the boiler to something more efficient, improve insulation where possible and to switch over to Nest thermostats for dual zone. My problem, however, is that I'm still noticing cold drafts and "cold spots" around the house and with the sudden drop in temperatures, this is a lot more noticeable.
I was talking with a friend who suggested having a thermal imaging survey done, which I hadn't really considered before. Doing a bit of digging around, I came across a company called iRed who are local to me, who say they can locate heat loss around the home, so I can then rectify the issues.
My question is - has anyone had a thermal imaging survey carried out before? Does it cost a lot? Is it something I could do myself if I bought one of those flir cameras?

I assume the surveys that get carried out use a better imaging camera that a Flir one - they range up to 5 figures.
Although you can spend £150 on a secondhand Flir and see the cold spots and sell it on when you have finished for about the same price.0
