Circulon pans - lifetime guarantee

This company offers a 'hassle free' lifetime guarantee. The pans are not cheap.

I have a frying pan which is no longer non-stick, and has become impossible to use as all foods stick to it during cooking.

I have contacted Circulon (I can't go back to the retailer as they no longer deal with Circulon pans) and they asked for photos which I sent immediately. I was asked for my details as though someone was going to write to me or replace the pan.

That was 5 days ago and since then I have heard nothing, and had no reply to my emails.

I was wondering about escalating this via social media as, so I read a while ago, companies hate being named and shamed and get on with your complaint a lot faster if you do this via Twitter.

Has anyone else heard this, or used this method to gain a manufacturer's attention?

  • I'd give it a while longer. Two of the five days was the weekend.
  • You need to give them at least 2 weeks

normally the non stick surface gets damaged if you use scourers etc.

    From their website.

    CLEANING
Your cookware is dishwasher safe. However like all fine cookware, hand washing is
preferable. In time, the cumulative effect of strong agitation and harsh detergent will
dull the exterior surface, although the performance of the pan will not be affected.
Always follow dishwasher manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
To remove dried on food, soak in hot water before washing. If food remains on the
surface, boil a mixture of water and vinegar into the pan to dislodge food particles.
Wash pans thoroughly after each use.
Do not use bleaches, steel wool, coarse scouring pads, oven cleaners or powders.

    Thanks.

I started my enquiry with Circulon on 19 Oct.

They have 'dripped' various requirements like photos, my details, where did I buy etc. I have replied to their enquiries the same day, but theybare dragging their feet. However, I will leave it until the end of the week based on advice here.

    Why the sudden rush?

    Have you used metal implements?

I have had Circulon for 8 years now the frying pans are still like new but the pot used to mash the tatties is a bit worse for wear because I use a metal masher. Ergo I would have no claim.

Best pans I have ever owned!

I would never expect a non stick pan to last a lifetime. How long have you had the pan ? My Circulon wok is 6 years old and it's just about had it !

    Good news.

The photos have been checked, a replacement pan has been suggested, and is being sent to me shortly.

I buy Circulon because they are such good quality. My first pan is over 20 years old and still retains its non-stick. The one I am complaining about is not old at all, and when you pay around £55 for it, you expect it to last....especially as they offer a lifetime guarantee.
