Hi,
i am not sure if i am in the correct section with this post - please move if incorrect.
I am looking to buy an oil filled radiator with 2, better 2.5 KW.
I would like to switch the radiator on before i am home. like 20min before - best way to do this is remotely. As there are no smart radiators yet available
- i am looking to get a radiator and a smart plug which can switch 2KW , or better 2,5kw / 3KW. do you know if there are any decent smart plugs available which can be used with an android app?

There are 'smart' or timer controlled electric radiators: the wall-mounted, hard wired type.
If there are no freestanding, plug in 'smart' electric radiators available, it may well because that would be a fire hazard. Instructions for freestanding heaters often warn against leaving them unattended when switched on.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Timeguard do a fused spur for that:

Are you sure you wouldn't be better off with a timeswitch/thermostat combined though? I have several of these things:

i believe i wouldn`t be better off, as i see this as a temporary solution until i move out of my rented apartment to a property i plan to buy in the next year.
