Can anyone help me I received a letter today regarding a penalty notice by post notice to owner.
I had no ticket on my car and I saw no signage that the railway car park had privatised to indigo park solutions uk limited .
I haven’t used this car park since it got redone. Is this a case I can appeal I drove,in parked and placed my disability badge. All help appreciated

    Hi & welcome to MSE,

You need to read the NEWBIES thread, where there is a Q&A list, and one of the points covered FULLY (with a link) is Indigo penalties in railway car parks.

There is no need for any new threads about this subject. We don't have time to cover old ground fully covered in the NEWBIES thread, for a PCN that no-one has to pay (and the reasons are covered in the sticky thread and do not bear repeating in any threads).

See my signature for where to click to see the NEWBIES FAQS at the top, back where you hit NEW THREAD (you could even hit the ''back'' button on your computer 4 or 5 times) and you'd be back on page one where the NEWBIES thread calls for everyone to please read it first.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

IF the word "penalty" is used either on the ticket or subsequent correspondence then I believe legally the amount demanded cannot be recoverable via any legal process. Simply because a private company CANNOT issue a penalty or a fine against anyone. Only a local authority or statutory body can issue fines or penalties.
