I know it is not very MSE to admit but I pre-ordered the new iPhone XR on the 19th October. This was extremely painful in itself after they accused me of lying about an email I received saying that I could get it with no upfront cost! Apparently it didn't exist and everyone had to pay £99. After much discussion they admitted that I was right and I went away happy and expecting the phone on the release date.
Fast forward to today when I call up and ask when I am going to receive it. I am told 6th November, nearly two weeks after I was expecting it. Apparently there is nothing they can do even though you can order it online for next day delivery and all the other phone companies have stock available. Because I pre-ordered it I have been put to the back of the queue!
I spent an hour and a half on the phone and still no better delivery date available.
Yes I know, first world problems but I just feel like I have been treated badly for being a loyal customer. Rant over!

Never ever be loyal to a company, as you've found out that is only a two way street. Always look out for yourself.0

The big manufacturers, eg Samsung and Apple always restrict stock of new handsets to artificially create the impression of huge demand0
