Hi everyone, I wonder whether you could advice me on this particularly scenario.
I have looked at the newbie thread which was really useful but I couldn't find any mention of fines where the parking companies in this case, Civil Enforcement ltd claim to have photos but have not provided anything on their charge notice.
My scenario:
I parked in a private car park which is shared for customers of different business. I went into a restaurant and my wife entered the car's registration into the ipad system they have. I was told parking was free (no limit) throughout the stay. However I received a notice 5 days later for going over my time in a "maximum 45 minutes free parking" area. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who assured me that parking was free beyond 45 minutes for customers. He wasn't able to look at what was put it as he tells me it goes straight to he company. After reading this forum ,I was ready to appeal using the general template after reading it was generally best practice not to reveal information on the driver. However they claim to have photographic evidence but have not supplied any with the letter or somewhere to access it online. There was a different drive coming into the car park and another out.
Can I still appeal with the general template with this information on a keeper of vehicle angle or would you suggest appealing from the point of restaurant not informing me correctly or lack of clear signage?

The detail is immaterial. The photo evidence will be of the vehicle's number plate, not the driver. It doesn't work like that.
Deal with this exactly as advised in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
