November Nectar Treats

What's this all about?

Every month Nectar cuts the price (in Nectar points) of selected rewards on its loyalty scheme, so it's always worth having a gander in case a bargain can be had. Nectar points are worth about 0.5p each, so divide the cost in points by 200 to work out the rough equivalent price in real money!

This month's offers

Until 14 November there's 50% off a range of celebrity themed books (from 2,200 points, approx £12) Calvin Klein fragrances (from 2,250 points, approx. £12) and a Philips Micro Hi Fi for £26 worth of points (4,800).

Between 15 and 30 November, those offers will be replaced with a Samsung Mini DV Camcorder in exchange for 18,850 points (approx £100 worth) and a Sony DVD recorder for 12,950 (around £70 worth of points). These will be visible on Nectar's site by 15 Nov. Delivery's included in all these prices too.

Hardcore MoneySavers may find some of these items on specialist sites for slightly less than the monetary value of the Nectar points charged; yet if you wanted the item anyway and have points to spare, make your 'purchase' this way and you won't have to part with any cash.

Not got a Nectar card?

Get one! It's free so definitely worth having in your wallet/purse in case you spend money with any of its linked retailers. Similar offers to this one come up pretty regularly, so first read the Loyalty Scheme Tricks article so be sure of how it works, then enrol on Nectar's website and you'll be sent a card.

  • Anyone received the Free Treat leaflet?

I had a quick look on the web and you can choose a variety of things including back massage, indian head massage, facial etc. However, you apply for your treat but don't know where you are expected to go for it.

Anyone applied? I don't want to find I've got to travel 20miles for it! I can't see a list of participating salons anywhere.

    Hi ftm,
I had this a while back and sent off, it has allocated me a salon in one of the two nearest towns, so only 10-15 mins travelling time and has a use-by (book by I think) date of next Feb and then expiry of next Aug.

I was a bit worried like you, especially as my location isn't near a major city so I didn't want to be sent to one, but the network is more local than that :)
