Odd situation & Newbie fail 😔

Hi
I have a slightly strange situation, which in hindsight after reading info on here I think I have not helped myself to resolve so far.
The gym I use is in a hotel, there are few designated gym spots on the hotel grounds, but these are almost always full from residents (not using the gym) as the hotel car park is almost always full too. There is also a private car park across the road, with a few gym spaces where we can park for free, but again, these are hit and miss whether you can get one.
I went to the gym around 6am, all the gym spaces were full, even in the private car park (no one in the gym!) So I used one of the many empty spaces and came back to the 'PCN'.
This is where I think I messed up - I emailed NWCP saying:
"Hi,
I have been given this notice suggesting I need to pay £100.
This is the car park for the gym that I go to, Universe Fitness, I only used the car park whilst I was in the gym.
I do not understand why I have this notice?
Please let me know how to resolve.
Thanks"
A bit of to and fro, and basically the answer is still have to pay. Although they do mention I should also show a permit from the gym when parking in the gym spots, which I wasn't. Although I don't think any signs say this in the car park.
I have received a notice to keeper, although they say "At the time of this notice we do not know both the name of the driver and a current address for service for the driver and as the registered keeper of the vehicle."
I didn't sign off the email with any of my details, although I think my name might come up automatically.
Am I still ok to proceed with the directions in the newbie section?
Thanks in advance to any help!

ok the parking co , by placing a ticket on your car cannot ask DVLA for your info untill day 29 , when was the incident?
also , as this was 6am , a non busy time , is the hotel willing to intervene0 -
It was on 7th September
Probably not the hotel, the gym inside is not owned by the hotel, and the gym is only a small local company so doubt they have any resource.
I will ask them though.0 -

yes ask them , pester them , even tell them that you are leaving , as there parking co allowed cars that were not using gym to take places and yet did not ticket them !! rub it in
you are now on what I think is day 51 , ie,only 5v more days in which a letter would , if acted badly on would hold you the owner liable
its possible to late not to send off the template letter , sit back for 5 days and report back if they have not written to you with full info / pics etc
do you not think that at 6am , this was a member of hotel staff , rather than a "man in a van"0 -
I'll give it a go, it's a cheap gym membership so don't think Ill make a dint in their revenue by leaving, but will speak to them.
I didn't quite understand what you said about the template letter, do you suggest I DO NOT send one and wait for 5 days?
The ticket was issued at 8am, a few minutes before I left so presume it was someone from NWCP0 -
parking cos that put a ticket on your car can only ask the DVLA for your info between days 29 and 56 and use this info to chase the owner
if they fail to send notice to keeper between say 30 and day 56 , they can only go after the driver
hopefully they will not put 2 and 2 together with your email saying "I did this" "I did that"
if a notice to keeper is on its way it either is or it isnt , chances of tripping them up now are very limited
sit back until day 56 , date of event = 00 -
PS , you WILL inform the hotel that there parking co gave you a ticket for not displaying permit , but yet you were never offered or told of one
as I said , rub it in , its better if they get it cancelled for you0 -
Ah ok, thanks - I have already received the NTK on 9th October, so within to 30-56 day window0

Yes, appeal now as keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
I did not read that in your postings
the parking Co now have your full name and address
do as suggested above by CM
pay up or sit tight , expect much junk mail from debt collectors .
it is now a good time to complain to gym and hotel A LOT
you leaving gym may not hurt hotel , but a review on trustpilot will not be liked0
