Late returning ESA50 form for ESA

I am claiming primarily for mental health reasons and on the question that said “if you are returning this form late please explain why” I simply said that I needed a few more days to fill in the form and that I phoned Jobcentre Plus who had made notes on the account to say this would be ok. I should have given a more detailed answer but as I said I did phone Jobcentre Plus and they did say it was ok to send it back a few days late and they would make notes on my claim to confirm this0
